At a Glance, the Directorate of Youth Development, Shariatpur

The Department of Youth Development has been working relentlessly to increase the active participation in the mainstream of the development of this large part of the committed, meritorious, brave and brilliant population, productive and efficient. The Youth Development Department has been taking and implementing various programs from the very beginning to raise the active participation of the country's socio-social development activities, to create responsibility for youth formation in the formation of the country, to create constructive mentality and to become a well-educated work force.
The Ministry of Youth Development was formed in 1978. Later, the Ministry of Youth and Sports was named. In 1981, youth development directorate was created to implement the activities of the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the field level.
